What is Testing and Tagging?
The Occupational Health & Safety Act 2004 No. 107 requires that all enterprises provide for their employees a safe workplace. Victorian Legislation also states that an Employer "shall maintain a working environment that is safe and without risk to health".
It is therefore every Employer's responsibility to ensure that all plug in portable electrical appliances such as Computers, Printers, power boards, extension leads, power tools, even the kitchen kettle, etc are regularly tested.
Our fully trained technicians visually inspect each item for defects before testing them using the most up to date equipment. Once testing has been completed a tag is then placed on the item showing either Pass/Fail, the date it was tested, asset number, re-test date and technicians details. Any items that Fail testing have a Red Danger tag placed on them.
